Celebrate Thanksgiving week by joining the American Angus Association® as it airs a new I Am Angus program Monday, Nov. 22.

The hour-long show is the second program in the Association’s four-part fall and winter television series. This particular episode — titled “Winds of Change” — celebrates the history of America’s cattle industry and the heritage of the Angus breed.

“We’re eager to share the latest edition in the I Am Angus series, which follows on the heels of our largely successful October show. These are great stories of our Angus ranching heritage that share the positive story of American agriculture,” says Bryce Schumann, Association CEO. “The American Angus Association is committed to taking a strong, multimedia approach to communicating the value of Angus cattle and to visually sharing the stories of farmers and ranchers through these impactful new segments. There’s something for everyone in the November program, whether you’re involved in raising Angus or not.”

The program is sponsored by IGENITY® Profile for Angus, which provides Angus breeders with the industry’s most comprehensive DNA profile on an array of economically important traits.

I Am Angus will air at 8 p.m. EST (7 p.m. CST), Monday, Nov. 22, 2010, on RFD-TV. RFD-TV is distributed by more than 625 cable operators, and can be found on DirecTV channel 345 and Dish Network channel 231. Check local listings for more information.

YOU'RE INVITED TO 7L'S FALL BULL & COMMERCIAL FEMALE SALE

7L Farms invites you to view the catalog and video offering that will be in the Fall Bull and Commercial Female Sale on November 27 (Saturday after Thanksgiving) beginning at 12:00 noon at the farm in Wiggins, Mississippi. There are 126 bulls and over 100 commercial Angus and Brangus heifers, bred heifers, bred cows and cow/calf pairs cataloged insuring variety, quantity and quality to suit any buyer’s needs. If you are looking for a new young herd sire for your Angus breeding program, be sure to study the bulls offered from some of the lead donor and future donor cows at 7L Farms. Contact us ahead of the sale to discuss some “special bulls” we are particularly intrigued by. We have arranged the catalog by sire and dam with individual reference notes to aid you in finding related individuals throughout the catalog. As an added highlight, we are featuring young ranch horses that are broke and ready to work just needing that finishing touch. If you are looking for a well broke older horse that anyone can ride, focus in on the older mare, Scotty’s Star Seeker, as she has worked well in our program. We encourage you to preview the catalog here on our blog site or by visiting our web site, as well as the DVAuction and American Livestock Brokers websites.

Give us a call to arrange a time to stop by 7L Farms to view the bulls and females ahead of the sale or to ask questions about favorite lots. Commercial bull buyers will find several lots of virgin bulls with similar or same pedigrees to add uniformity to their next calf crops. We have provided extensive performance, carcass and genomic data (Pfizer Animal Genetics HD 50K) and will keep updating it on our web and blog sites as we near sale day for each bull lot. Consolidated update information will be available sale day as well as a short producer-oriented educational program ahead of the sale. A complimentary lunch will be served at 11:15 am along with entertainment.

We will be broadcasting the bull sale live via DV Auction on Saturday, November 27 beginning at 12:00 noon in case you cannot attend but want to participate remotely. Go to the DVAuction website to pre-register ahead of the sale and to view live footage of the bulls in the offering. For your convenience, the steps to register with DVAuction are provided on page 1 of the sale catalog.
