THE JOURNEY CONTINUES...
Fellow Cattlemen,
It is with great pleasure that we invite you to 7L Farms and Land Company’s annual female production sale on Saturday, March 19 beginning at 12 noon at the farm in Wiggins and live on the internet at LiveAuctions.TV. After ten years of genetically selecting Angus cattle to fit the industry’s needs, we feel that we have put together an offering of superior Angus genetics available for your selection that will work anywhere in the country.
What an exciting time to be in the Angus business or cattle business in general for that matter. With extremely high cattle prices across the board and record low cattle numbers, it’s just a matter of time before this deal really explodes. On the flip side, we are also dealing with extremely high input and grain prices. That is exactly why it is important as we gear up to take advantage of these record high prices with no end in sight that we as breeders watch the bottom line. At 7L we have spent the last ten years focusing on genetic selection to help with just that. It has been first priority to us that these cattle have value in the REAL WORLD, period – no ifs ands or buts about it. 7L has made the commitment to feed our own cattle along with some of our customers’ cattle and to record all carcass data for use in our breeding selections. Besides that, we have spared no expense when it comes to ultrasounding our bulls and heifers and we have been very progressive with our HD50K DNA testing. All of this has been done with the beef industry and, more importantly, with you our customer in mind.
The females in this offering are from the heart of our progressive program and have proven over the years that they will work from a commercial standpoint to the high end Angus seedstock producer, with all the tools to complement the maternal side of any structured composite/crossbreeding program. We encourage you to make time to attend this annual event and take advantage of some useful REAL WORLD genetics available to you in healthy working condition ready to go to work and make you money without any melt down after purchase.
We encourage you to preview the sale catalog on-line by visiting our website or our blog site or the LiveAuctions.TV website. If you would like to receive a sale catalog by mail, please call us at (601) 928-5288 or visit our website. If you have any questions leading up to the sale, please feel free to contact us any time. We would love to talk cattle with you!
We hope to see you sale day on March 19!

All-New 'I Am Angus' Airs Nov. 22
Click here to watch a preview of this month's program.
Celebrate Thanksgiving week by joining the American Angus Association® as it airs a new I Am Angus program Monday, Nov. 22.
The hour-long show is the second program in the Association’s four-part fall and winter television series. This particular episode — titled “Winds of Change” — celebrates the history of America’s cattle industry and the heritage of the Angus breed.
“We’re eager to share the latest edition in the I Am Angus series, which follows on the heels of our largely successful October show. These are great stories of our Angus ranching heritage that share the positive story of American agriculture,” says Bryce Schumann, Association CEO. “The American Angus Association is committed to taking a strong, multimedia approach to communicating the value of Angus cattle and to visually sharing the stories of farmers and ranchers through these impactful new segments. There’s something for everyone in the November program, whether you’re involved in raising Angus or not.”
The program is sponsored by IGENITY® Profile for Angus, which provides Angus breeders with the industry’s most comprehensive DNA profile on an array of economically important traits.
I Am Angus will air at 8 p.m. EST (7 p.m. CST), Monday, Nov. 22, 2010, on RFD-TV. RFD-TV is distributed by more than 625 cable operators, and can be found on DirecTV channel 345 and Dish Network channel 231. Check local listings for more information.
